Readers of the Grafton Sentinel and Weekly Sentinel are invited to nominate three Miss Grafton Sentinels, one from Grafton High, one from St Augustine High, and a third from either, with ballots printed in this weeks papers. The two winners will represent Grafton at Charleston for the North South game and at Morgantown for Homecoming, with judges later selecting from the nominees. Bal lot page 5.

Lightning Start Fire Destroys Grafton Garage
Early dawn blaze in Fetterman section of Grafton destroyed a garage owned by Alana MacFarland at 807 West Main. A 1935 Ford two door sedan was lost, with damage estimated in the hundreds. the Fire Chief said the house was scorched but largely spared. Dr. C L Cook’s adjacent garage escaped damage as wind pushed flames toward the Uvans lawn. telephone service was cut by the fire.
