About fifty DeMolay Post No 11 Knights Templar of Grafton and their ladies attended the 59th annual Grand Commandery of West Virginia meeting in Morgantown. William A Beavers rose to Grand Senior Warden, ranking fifth for top state honors, with the event marking a ten year career progression from Grand Captain of the Guard. Morganitown hosted 600 Knights templar in march and 800 University cadets at the athletic field. Albert F Schairer was elevated to Grand Commander for the coming year, succeeding Alert Knee. next year’s meeting will be in Martinsburg.

Washington May 19 The administration testified that repeal of prohibition would remove the need for a $3.3 billion bond issue and allow the big public works program to proceed.
