The filing notes 456 miles of railroad in the two companies holdings, mostly from the older Toledo company, and cites consolidation authority under the transportation act. Ford has held a minority stake in a New York group since acquiring the Detroit Toledo and Ironton, which has resisted his offers to buy their shares.
