Four Bandits Captured by Wheeling Cop
Four fugitives wanted in six states for bank and post office robberies were captured by a Wheeling police officer and jailed under 50 000 dollars bond each. Series of Robberies Reported in Morgantown
Morgantown police chased a six foot bandit after two successful robberies and two failed attempts in one evening. The thief first robbed the Johnny Morris gas station, netting $40, then attempted to steal a pocketbook from a girl before robbing a grocery for another $40. He fled to James Allard station where the attendant grabbed a shotgun and forced him off. The bandit escaped.
