Robinson New Board Member Joins Taylor County Education Board
Percy W Robinson, of the Cour ty club road and a Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company employee, was elected to the Taylor County Board of Education at the regular monthly meeting to replace Frank Gawthrop who resigned to take a WPA supervisor position. Robinson, a Democrat, was nominated by Arthur Yates and supported by President Paul P. Warden, defeating Waitman Tucker in a vote that preserved the board’s three Democrats and two Republicans. The new member, long active in school and public affairs, is considered valuable though this is his first public office and he has not prior party involvement.

Milton Florida March 17. Two men abducted from a Georgiana Alabama filling station were found dead 200 yards off a highway tied together with cotton rope. Negro Fatally Burned and Wife Injured in Martinsburg Fire
Martinsburg report of an accidental death by burning as Allen Grey, 60, was found dead at the foot of a stairway after a morning fire in his home.
