Objections to London Naval Treaty voiced in Senate report
Washington June 30 three members of the senate foreign relations committee issued a minority report opposing the London naval treaty. The dissidents Johnson Moses and Robinson argue the pact fails to give the United States naval equality with Britain and will not save taxpayers. They demand thorough reconsideration and warn against rushing ratification. Debate expected late this week, with a special session after adjournment. Moses attaches a memo decrying indecent haste in ratification. The trio deny militarism and urge fair naval limitation and honest reduction.
