The West Virginia Bar notes two state court decisions on mileage books. New York Supreme Court ruled a purchaser may sign another’s name on a mileage ticket with no forgery, as the ticket carries authority for use. In Jefferson County, a case against Baltimore & Ohio upheld that a buyer can recover if undelivered refunds reflect contract terms, reframing the notion of mileage book ownership and value.
