Williamson The body of Lt. Col. Benjamin M. Brothers 41 who police say killed himself Saturday night was shipped to Fort Knox Ky for funeral services and burial. He shot himself with an Army .45 caliber automatic while seated in his parked car. A West Point graduate and World War II and Korean War veteran Brothers had been AWOL from Camp Chaffee Fort Smith Ark since June 17. He was dressed in civilian clothes but his army uniform and ID were in the car. Brothers is survived by his widow Geneva and a seven year old son of Paris Kentucky and his mother in Mt Airy North Carolina.
London radio Moscow reported Russia's state publishing house issued 12 volumes of Theodore Dreiser's works. The collection includes stories written between 1936 and 1944 that had not been published in the Soviet Union before.
