Auto Race Crash Near Graf ton Ends in Injuries
An auto race on the North western turnpike between Graf ton and Pruntytown yesterday afternoon ended in a crash near Evans Curve. Youths were injured when two speeding cars collided. Robert Rice, 21, Keyser, suffered a compound leg fracture and other injuries and was taken to City Hospital, then transferred to Cobb’s Hospital. Richard Stewart, 17, drove with minor injuries, while Howard Lynch, 19, escaped with slight injuries. Dr. Offner, of Fairmont, later visited Rice. The story continues on page two.
