Touring Americans Killed in Moscow Plane Crash

Nine people died when a Polish Ilyushin 14 crashed near Moscow during a thunderstorm. Two Americans were killed, three survived, and the group from Grand Rapids Michigan was touring Europe. Survivors include Mrs. Margaret Tremper and her 13 year old daughter Michel. Cheverton, news director of WOOD TV, reported from the scene. Youngsters Escape Death From 40 Foot Reservoir

Two Weirton youths were rescued unharmed after falling into a 40 foot hillside reservoir in Marland Heights. A teacher and six bystanders pulled one boy from a ledge while another, exhausted, was saved by a quick dive and rope rescue. officials warned children to stay away from the reservoir.
