Edith Maxwell, twice convicted of killing her father Triesa Maxwell, was granted a writ of error to argue her second conviction which carries a 20 year prison term. The Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals allowed her to proceed while bonds were rearranged after one underwriter requested removal. Maxwell, a blacksmith and miner, died in Pound Wise County, with the case continuing on page three.
