Auto Goes Over Cliff Near Valley Falls
A movie party returning from Valley Falls fell about 45 feet after their Buick Six skidded on a steep Bradshaw Hill embankment. Charles Colburn was pinned beneath the burning car and seriously injured. Dale Hanshaw and Russell, of Goldwyn Pictures, were bruised. The group escaped fatalities thanks to careful driving by preceding vehicles. Colburn’s condition later reported as serious but not life threatening with broken bones and multiple flesh wounds.
