Show Boss Your Card Social Security Advice

In the holiday job surge with many veterans and students entering the labor market, Ver non D Herbert, Manager of the Clarksburg Social Security Office, urges workers to show their Social Security card to every employer. The card ensures wages are credited to the correct ledger under the worker’s name and number, preventing duplicate numbers across roughly 575,000 Smith records. Employers must report wages quarterly to the government, and workers should keep one valid number, obtaining a duplicate only if the card is lost. Use the Social Security Board to verify the correct number.
