Washington reports the senate passed the administration industrial bill 87 to 24 after a long session. The measure funds a 3.3 billion public works program and holds back labor and industry code provisions on hours prices and output with licensing power for noncompliant plants. Washington June 10 A rushed appropriations bill would provide 3.459 billion dollars for public works and the Muscle Shoals Tennessee Valley project. The measure aims to fund recovery programs already approved and signed by the President. The bill designates 3.3 billion for public works with up to 500 million to the Tennessee Valley board for specified uses.
The Senate approved the farm credit bill and sent it back to the House for minor amendments. The body also voted an appropriation of 25000 dollars to fund investigations into air and ocean mall contracts.

Harrison New York June 10 two richly dressed men were found shot lying side by side near West Chester Country Club as Boyd postponed his non stop flight to Port Au Prince due to bad weather. The take off had been set for 1 p m EST but storms along the route led to postponement with a tentative reschedule for tomorrow.
Six members of the Thomas McGee family in Tunnelton are recovering from violent attacks of ptomaine poisoning. Contaminated preserved milk is suspected as the cause. One daughter, Katherine, did not drink the milk and did not fall ill.
In pockets police recovered rolls totaling 1100 dollars as detectives probe if gangsters killed the men. The investigation centers on whether the severities were tied to organized crime activity.
Ray Johnson, 30, of Waddell Fuel Company No. 4, Rosemont, suffered injuries in a slate fall Thursday evening. He was treated at St. Mary's hospital, Clarksburg, then released. He sustained cuts and bruises with no broken bones. condition reported satisfactory.

Road repairs to the Stone House recreation and health camp delay start of construction under Salvation Army sponsorship. A force of R F C workers will fix the road early next week to bring in lumber and materials, with camp erection to begin once deliveries arrive. A large kitchen dining hall for 100 children and twenty National Guard tents will be set up, primarily with R F C labor, and the camp expected to open in the summer.
Harrisburg June 10 reports fear of a major outbreak at the Minners mine amid a union war. Deaths total 15 as Williamson and Barline county officers bar 200 United Mine Workers from Williamson county from entering a 1500 to 3000 strong Progressive miners picket line near Peabody mine No 43. Authorities fear violence and deploy special deputies to cover a five mile stretch to the mines.
New York June 10 The stock market moved through a brief session with little enthusiasm. Profit taking trimmed gains in some sectors while others held firm as rising tendencies balanced. Trading volume declined with about 2,500,000 shares changing hands and the close was moderately irregular.
Washington dispatch notes the industrial control bill would grant the President authority over the oil industry for now with plans for January’s regular session. The Connally amendment would let the President initiate ICC actions for reasonable pipeline rates, force divestiture from holding companies, and bar interstate transport of petroleum made in violation of state laws.
National Steel Corporation today announced an increase in its quarterly dividend to 25 cents per share. The previous payment was 12 42 cents. The disbursement is payable June 30 to holders of record June 20.
