Mine Driver Dies at Flemington Mine
Clyde J. Ball, 31, of Rosemont, was killed by a slate fall at Flemington No. 1 mine at 10:10 pm. Fourteen miners worked nearby. Ball was the only victim. His body was moved to Bartlett Funeral Home Bridgeport for burial prep. He was born July 26, 1908 in Newburg, son of Georget and Rose Wolfe Ball, survived by his widow Ferrie Collins, three children, three sisters and six brothers.
