Washington June 7 The Hoover administration faces a brewing Republican storm in the Senate over federal judicial and district attorney appointments. Senators claim they should bear responsibility for their recommendations, while President Hoover and Attorney General Mitchell indicate they will study all nominees and not be bound by senatorial recommendations. No new appointments have been made beyond those left from Coolidge’s last session. The dispute centers on whether federal picks are the president's or the Senate’s."
