Ralphsnyder Coal and Farm Lands Sale Not Confirmed
In Monongalia county chancery court Judge Warren B. Kittle rejected confirmation of the May 29 sale of Ralphsnyder coal and farm lands at Morgantown after upset bids were filed by out of town attorneys. The property is to be re advertised and record, with a tentative new sale date set for June 16 at ten o clock AM at the courthouse front door. The sale involves the Merchants National Bank of Point Pleasant versus Isaac M Ralphsnyder, William M Ralphsnyder, and George M Ralphsnyder with New England Fuel and Transportation Fund of Greattown as the largest bidder. An upset bid by Hite interests of Fadoon for the parcels purchased by the New England company was filed, and exceptions to the confirmation decree were noted by George M Ralphenyder through attorney Gene W Ford. The younger Ralphsnyder was only an accommodation endorser on his brother’s notes.

Curtailing Navy Expenses Targeted by Hoover Plan
President Hoover will meet with Secretary Adams and other naval officials at Rapidan camp to discuss trimming expenses of the naval establishment. About 7 million dollars were saved this year from last summer's Virginia camp conferences and a similar amount may return to the treasury next year. Reductions aim to preserve efficiency through economy and closing obsolescent shore stations as a closer concentration of naval activities continues on the Atlantic coast. The Navy department cooperates with the president, despite reports of waning optimism about further cuts. Participants include Jahncke Ingalls Pratt Fuller and McLean Parsons. Ambassador Gibson may seek views on the Geneva arms conference.
