In Annapolis on June 3, Secretary of the Navy Charles Adams presided as 421 graduates received diplomas. 379 became ensigns, 42 left for civilian life. The new ensigns begin 30 days leave before assignments aboard ships. The second class stays for aviation training, others cruise on the battleship Wyoming for six weeks.
