Two Women and One Man Charged in Local Case
Benton James, a familiar figure to police, is jailed to be sent to Clarksburg where he will be committed to Affri nson county jail from which he escaped Saturday night. He was serving a 40 day sentence for a misdemeanor and had been using the alias H L Baker in Clarksburg. He corresponded with several girls and was discovered in a supposed tri core romance by a woman who alerted authorities. He was also wanted in Grafton for jumping a fine.
