Rich Boston Woman Drowns At Venice

Henrietta Mack a 75 year old from Best Mass and a longtime friend of Lenora Duse reportedly drowned when the gondola returning to Venice from Murano capsized during an approaching storm. Mrs Mack had visited the glass town and embarked despite warnings. both she and the gondolier were lost. Her pet dog swam to St Michael Island and was saved.

San Diego July 26 Air plane race for the Dole prize of 25000 from San Francisco Bay to Honolulu will include a three person entry. Miss Mildred Doran, a Michigan school teacher, travels with Auggie Pedlar and MR Lawing chief aerographer at the San Diego naval air station. They plan to fly August 6 from San Diego to Oakland then depart for Hawaii reaching Aug 7. The group seeks naval guidance and support for the flight.
