Boys crushed by train on Cabin Creek line in West Virginia
Velmer E. Gray 17 of Chillicothe Ohio died instantly after being struck by a Chesapeake & Ohio train near Dawes on the Cabin Creek branch at 4 20 this morning. Velmer Bennett 22 of Oak Fork West Virginia was badly injured with both legs crushed. The youths had rested on the tracks and are believed to have fallen asleep. They were transported to the scene by a special train. Gray was son of John Gray of Chillicothe.
