Holt Seeks New Interim Committee in 1939 Session

Governor Holt will ask the 1939 legislature to replace the 12 member interim committee created in 1937. The retiring panel revised state aid to schools and parole and probation measures, but many studies remain undone. Ten Rescued From Flying Ship Return to New York Harbor

Ten survivors of the sunken flying boat Cavalier reached New York aboard the tanker Esso Baytown after a dramatic rescue in gale and high seas.
