Boyce and Hall Held for Grand Jury on Malicious Assault
Elbert Boyce and Wilbur Hall, Taylor County men, are held on $1,000 bonds for grand jury action after appearing before Magistrate A. Jefferys on charges of malicious assault. The alleged attack on Weaver, a railroad conductor, occurred near the Balti more and Ohio station at 8:30 p m Wednesday. Boyce sustained a lacerated arm needing 13 stitches and was hospitalized overnight. MORGANTOWN. Miss Ada Van Norman, 75, starts a new year as station agent for the Morgantown and Kingwood railroad at Sturgisson nine miles from Morgantown. She chose to keep working rather than retire, recalls 1901 when trains were frequent and four passenger runs. The Baltimore and Ohio gained the line in 1922, now four freight trains serve the area. Her home and workplace share the Morgantown station, with fellow agent Elizabeth McCrea Gore living there too.
