Washington Feb 23 The house naval committee opened hearings into the cost of acquiring 1000 additional navy airplanes. Rear Admiral Arthur G Cook chief of the aeronautics bureau and Rear Admiral William B Dubois head of the bureau of construction and repair were to testify after the committee heard initial testimony. The navy already has authority for about 2000 planes as the fleet planned to reach treaty limits.
