Mrs Newlon Dies After Long Illness in Webster
Mrs Gertrude Lake Newlon 58 wife of former Sheriff Melvin Newlon died early Sunday at her Webster home after a long illness of complications. Born September 25 1878 in Simpson she lived in Webster since 1900s and in Grafton 1917 to 1929 during her husband’s sheriff tenure. Her death at 1250 am Sunday followed a period of critical health, with the family’s Webster residence noted.
