Grain trader barred on futures by commission
Arthur W. Cutten, Chicago trader, was prohibited from trading in any grain market for two years by the grain futures commission. The panel found him guilty of violating the grain futures act by attempting to manipulate prices by concealing his transactions on the Chicago Board of Trade. One Man Killed in Anthracite Strike Clash
Wilkes Barre February 14 A deadly confrontation in the anthracite strike zone left Frank Petrosky 28 of Larksville dead from a heart shot and Anthony Legosti 31 of Edwardsville seriously wounded. Police identified both men as members of the United Anthracite Miners of Pennsylvania, whose strike began eleven days ago to press for concession by operators. The union formed years ago after a break with the United Mine Workers.

Victim of Police Guns Identified In Pittsburgh
In Pittsburgh on February 14 the body of a suspected robber killed by state police in a nearby city run battle was identified as John Coulif of Aliquippa after a week in the morgue. Captain J C Mauk said Roy Hays identified him while serving a one month term in the Allegheny County workhouse. The man was shot after he and companion Tomy Grierson failed to stop.

Hostess Ends Life in Hotel in Clarksburg
In Clarksburg on February 14 a 24 year old hotel hostess identified as A Neely was found dead in a hotel room clutching a revolver. Police say she appeared to have shot herself the previous night on what would have been her wedding day. The body was discovered by hotel manager Howard Wisogetzey and coroner Leroy Hoff noted an apparent suicide. Continued on page seven.
