In Indianapolis on February 13 a 40 year old ex convict, listed as residing in Louisville, was held on suspicion of fatally hammer slaying 55 year old Mrs. Carrie Lelah Romig on January 17. Police label him a definite suspect. He was arrested in Anderson and brought to Indianapolis. A 21 year old woman, claimed as his step daughter, is in custody with him. Both charged with vagrancy. Romig’s husband Harold Daniel Romig, 28, identified pawned jewelry in Anderson and Muncie, valued at about 4000 dollars but pawned for 350.
