First Baby Derby Starts Midnight in 1948

Grafton and Taylor County again have a Baby Derby with Barton's Store offering a complete ayette to the first baby born to residents of Taylor County after midnight today December 31 1948. Prospective parents should note the announcement on page 8 and ask their doctor to note the moment of birth. The first baby’s name will be published in the Sentinel Monday January 3 unless no babies have been born by noon then the derby continues.
