Virginia plans second subsistence homestead project
The Interior Department will establish a second subsistence homestead in Randolph County in the Tygart Valley between Beverly and Hutton, near Valley Bend. About 25 families are under option, with land for 25 homes plus garden and community space on roughly 2280 acres bought for about 80000 dollars. Families will pay for homes over many years and may gain private industry work nearby, including employment in the Monongahela National Forest.
