The summit extended to include a science czar to coordinate NATO technological advances and potential Viet talks.
Charleston health officials said there were no new Asian flu reports in West Virginia last week marking the first pause since the outbreak began three months ago. The Health Department logged 2,711 flu like cases a week, up 111 from the prior week, with 121,227 flu like cases in the month and 3,741 confirmed or unconfirmed Asian flu cases overall. Kanawha County reported 2,180 cases, the highest last week.
In New York a caller from Xenia Ohio reported a buzzing object in a suitcase. Bomb squad officers rushed to the Roosevelt Hotel where the suitcase was kept and moved it to the roof. Inside, a battery powered vibrating brush hummed quietly.
