Soldier Lang Killed by Accidental Shot in Germany
Private Clifford G. Lang 24 of Rosemont was fatally shot by a buddy who fired a loaded pistol in an army camp at Manheim Germany on December 7. The War Department telegram reported the death and the Army intends to court martial the soldier holding the weapon. Lang served two years in the Army after a prior Marine term and went overseas October 14 1949 with the occupation forces. His parents Oscar W. Lang and Grace Russell Lang expect the body to be returned home soon.

County Coroner R W Corbitt said carbon monoxide is not the cause and no physical violence was evident.
