STRENCSTER ENGLAND The Earl of Guilford, a Royal Agricultural College rider, won a tricycle race down the main street in under three minutes. The 22 year old agricultural student Sam Penrose had bet him five pounds. The Earl trained during tricycle races around the college dining room.
Acting President Nereu Ramos told the Inter-American Press Assn that censorship in Brazil is a temporary emergency measure. He said the armed forces ousted Acting President Carlos Luz to preserve democracy and that censorship on newspapers and radio was to keep Joao Cafe Jr. from taking his case to the courts under the state of siege.
