Wireless outfits equip US Army with portable wireless gear
Washington reports the army adopts compact portable wireless outfits developed by the signal service to match modern warfare. The units, transportable on three horses, set up in 20 minutes, cover about 100 miles, and avoid mutual interference. Coast artillery will receive similar sets for ship to shore and field communication. The Cuba campaign previously tested the gear with successful results.
