Red Cross Christmas Seal Campaign Magnitude
The Red Cross Christmas Seal Campaign prints and distributes over 100 million seals this year. If laid end to end they would stretch about 2,400 miles from New York to Salt Lake City. Seals reach 25,000 agents and 100,000 volunteers, with a nationwide advertising push. The goal is to sell at least 60 million seals to fund tuberculosis work locally. HISTORIC CONTRIBUTIONS: Hon. George R. Latham of Buckhannon writes on West Virginia’s founders and Civil War era.
