Reemployment Office Hours Reduced in Grafton Bank Building
Stuart Whiting, manager of the local West Virginia Unemployment Service branch, announced immediate changes to office hours. The reemployment office on the third floor of the Grafton Banking and Trust building will be open 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, replacing the former 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule. Saturdays remain closing at noon.

Eight Signatures Reach For Hour Measure Vote
Washington December 2 The house leadership broke the deadlock over wages and hours legislation as 218 members signed a petition to force a mid December vote. Only eight signatures remained to move the measure from the rules committee which has blocked it since summer Speaker Bankhead predicted completion by Saturday and a possible floor vote on December 13.

CHARLESTON Dec 2 The Public Service Commission considered a Baltimore and Ohio request to discontinue two Parkersburg to Grafton trains due to revenue losses. Train No 22 from Parkersburg at 4 10 p m and No 39 from Grafton at 7 10 a m would be removed while service would be supported by trains No 24 from Parkersburg at 5 40 p m and No 23 from Grafton at 6 22 a m.
