Weather bureau reports unusually cool dawn across West Virginia signaling a cooler day ahead. The bulletin notes widespread low temperatures as residents brace for the day as rain and wind potential vary by region.

A deranged U S airman identified as Napoleon Green shot two US fliers and a RAF corporal and wounded eight others in a spree across a U S air base and a crowded English beach resort.
