Helsley and Holt May Debate in Charles Town

State Senator H E Helsley of Berkeley Springs and Delegate Rush D Holt of Weston plan a public discussion on utilities refusation and taxation, likely in Charles Town. Public Opinion Pressures NRA Dodgers Facing Unreachable Law

Washington August 12 The Blue Eagle of the NRA was revealed by Hugh B Johnson recovery administrator as a high pressure symbol to pressure employers beyond federal reach to accept wage and hour codes. 39 States Will Vote On Repeal This Year

Washington reports a shifting repeal map with 39 states likely to ballot on prohibitions before the new year. Kentucky Governor Lofmon calls a special session for August 15 to vote on submitting the Eighteenth amendment, while Louisiana Governor Allen says a special session will be called for the same purpose.
