The party preserved the rattles to prove the episode.

Two traveling men duel outside Central Hotel

Last Sad Rites for Mrs Emma Bernhold Friday
Friday afternoon at 2 30 the last sad rites over the remains of the late Mrs Emma Bernhold will be held in the Sunday School room at Andrews Methodist Episcopal church on East Main street.
