City Council hears report on proposed additions to light plant
The Daily Sentinel reports a Monday city council session addressing additions to the electric light plant. Prof. Ross Jones outlined options from a full new 300 light plant to cheaper upgrades, with costs ranging from about 5,000 to 14,000 dollars. A new light in the First ward was ordered, water-wall projects discussed, and a crane issue resolved at cost to the contractor. Williamson voted no on a motion, and a special meeting was set for August 12 to review delinquent water bills totaling about 750 dollars.
