Firemen 10 Hold Jubilee Week Here
The week of September 6 was set aside as Firemen's Jubilee Week in Grafton after a meeting of the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department. A 1:30 Labor Day parade will launch the week with at least 75 fire departments expected to participate alongside bands and floats. Invitations have gone to about 200 departments and merchants are invited to enter floats. A carnival is planned during the week, though the carnival name is not yet decided.

Gunman Held on Open Charge After Bishop Shooting

Five Die as Mine Slates Falls Near Welch Capels Mine Tragedy
