Two Men Fined for Reckless Driving After Weekend Accidents
William Morrell and John Paul Davis faced stiff fines in municipal police court after pleading guilty to reckless driving. Morrell, 21, Arden, released on a 51 bond, struck a State Police cruiser and a car owned by Al Petrovich on West Main Street near the courthouse Saturday night. Davis, 21, Kasson, was jailed Sunday following the weekend incidents.

A 19 year old Grafton waitress Doris Jean Pitzer of 358 West Main Street attempted suicide by ingesting 12 sleeping tablets but survived after the stomach was pumped at City Hospital. Police say she later locked herself in her room after drinking two beers at Kazy Nook restaurant, with patrolman Tom Hyett escorting her for treatment.
