Powder keg blast hits Drift Type mine injures twelve
In Tiltonville Ohio on August 1 a keg of powder ignited by a broken electric wire sparked a blast at the Bird mine of Warner Kevies company. Twelve miners were critically injured and rushed to Marting Hospital. One worker, Hlvin McLaughlin, 96, remained in critical condition with others expected to recover.
