Former Local Man Makes Hit As Baritonist

William A. Gorman, baritone and nephew of Dr. A. R. Warden, drew a large Ashland audience at the First Methodist Episcopal church recital last Tuesday. The performer, long a local favorite, sang 14 numbers—three in French, one in German—entirely without notes, with his best work including Nichavo and Song to the Tannhauser. Critics praised his fuller, more resonant tones and assured delivery under Miss Wycaff’s training, noting marked improvement over the past year.
