Seven men held up an Erie rail road train at Walnut street station Nutley New Jersey and escaped with 580000 in silver and bills. The loot was taken from a Patterson bank to the Federal Reserve in New York in a safe in the baggage car. The clerk surrendered his revolver as bandits confronted him. The bill would extend the Hayden Cartwright act for 1936 1937 and authorize federal spending for two years ending June 30 1939 with farm to market roads and grade crossing work funded at 25 million and 50 million annually. Hughes Gets Maximum On Two Charges
