Richard Rick Injured in Fall From Pony
Richard Rick, son of Mr and Mrs Clifford Brighton, fell from a pony at high speed at his grandparents home. The head injury required six stitches after the pony stepped on him. Initial skull fracture fears were ruled out on Monday. His many friends wish him a quick recovery.

Officer Injured In Surprise Arrest At Local Jail
Marshal Albert Jensen was injured Saturday night during a rousing arrest of an intoxicated out of town worker. The man attacked at the jail bars, biting Jensen and causing shoulder and leg injuries. The prisoner was treated for scalp wounds at Estherville hospital, released the next morning, and hitchhiked home. Fellow workers say he was shell shocked in the recent war.

Wallingford defeated Lake Park 3 to 1 in a large Sunday night benefit double header. Graettinger beat Johnnie Johnsons DeKalb Farmers with a score not listed.
