Remembering High Lake and Ole Johnson Family
A nostalgic tale recalls Ole Johnson and his Norwegian family at High Lake. A sudden lightning strike kills Mrs. Johnson during milking, then heavy rain follows as Ole grieves, remarries to Hattie Bondhus, and raises Selma. The narrator cherishes trout, ducks, and wildlife memories from decades at the lake.
