Simplified ASCS Loan Plan Aims to Speed Price Support Loans
A simplified ASCS price support loan procedure will launch this fall to accelerate cash loans for eligible producers. It removes moisture sampling for 1964 corn loans and uses a township estimate with loan values set at 85 percent of estimated ear corn and 9 percent for shelled corn, backed by insurance on crib stocks. Liability and eligibility remain tied to feed grain program participation and quality controls.
