Remarkable three year facial reconstruction at hospital

Stephen Calabro of Quinay Wisconsin was discharged from Massachusetts General Hospital after a series of operations considered among the most remarkable in surgical history. Dr Charles A. Rorter of Harvard Medical School led the work over a three year period with extensive face and scalp restoration. Calabro endured thirty procedures, receiving ether as needed, and emerged with a markedly new appearance.
