Silos urged as winter feed by Iowa State expert
A Iowa State College animal husbandry leader, HL H. Kildee, says the erection of silos should begin immediately to utilize corn crops on Iowa farms. Silage offers superior winter feeding and is valued by dairy, steer, and beef cattle operations for efficiency from now to fall rains and through winter. A New York Central line tale recalls a citizen asking a railway official to curb a Sunday whistle, citing a pastor’s sermon timing as a factor.
