Ed Herke faces Bert Griggs in a Friday night wrestling bout at the Hawkeye theatre moving from Saturday. Preliminaries start at 8 90, main match after 9, seating ample, ladies admitted free, admission 50 cents including tax. Gerald Reid challenges three boys his weight in a separate note.
Larsen Sanatorium under L P C Larsen has drawn praise for successful cures. John Bondhus recovered from stomach ulcers once deemed operable by Mayo physicians. Carl Hanson, after thirty years of stomach trouble, was cured. Henry Lammers’ rheumatism fully cleared. Ed Dulin shows notable improvement from a previously injured arm.
Regular services next Sunday with morning worship at eleven on the theme Good Citizenship and an evening service at seven thirty titled The Promised Victory. Sunday school meets at ten prior to the morning service.
The P. T. A. will serve lunch in the Woodman hall dining room on election day Tuesday November 2. Lunch will be available in the afternoon and evening. Everyone is invited. Proceeds go to benefit the public school library.
On election evening and night the Pythian Sisters invite all to their hall for a place to wait for returns. An evening of jollity is planned with everyone contributing to the event.

A Republican meeting was held at the High School Thursday night with Hon. J. Kelly of Des Moines as principal speaker. The event drew a good attendance and was described as a success from a Republican standpoint.
Evangelical Lutheran Zion Church announces Reformation Day services on Sunday October 31 with Sunday School at 2 PM and Divine worship at 2 30 PM conducted by Pastor J B Andreas.
Mrs French sustained hurt in a Sunday evening crash when a car with high powered lights from an unknown driver blinded Roy French and Walter Wilson. The collision occurred north of the railroad crossing, near the McCullough cut. Wilson and French were rear and front vehicles respectively. Mrs French is recovering. both cars suffered damage. The other driver’s identity remains unknown.
Saturday night collision near Wallingford involves Robert Elsenbast and Theo Peterson. Both cars show minor damage estimated around 100 dollars. Glaring headlights blamed. accident occurred east of Gradtn ney with E. E. Green driving with a passenger.
